This is interesting news. Either they are right, i.e. microsoft's gitlab code as ai training data for code completion is illegal. Or Microsoft is right and the RIAA should stop whining.

- klyrs 4y agoThe tops of stinging nettles don't sting, only the the underside. If you're careful, you can pick & eat them and they're quite nice in spring. The wasp will be fine, and has no desire to harm the nettle. Somehow, I expect both RIAA and Microsoft will win their cases and the supreme court won't see them as similar.
