Perhaps, but is it really detrimental to discuss it? HN is decently moderately enough to avoid flame wars, and sure there's a lot of anecdotal talk going about by folks who aren't doctors, but that doesn't mean that patients/the public shouldn't discuss health. Perhaps a sticky/banner for health topics may be a good idea? Like "This is a health topic, please don't make unverifiable claims and mark your opinions as your own"?
