How does it help to create a Y100k problem by using fixed-width numerals with five digits, instead of using variable-width numerals like we normally do for years?
- texaslonghorn5 4y agoexactly, it seems like a faulty solution to a problem that doesn't exist -- at present, we would say 900 and 1, not 0900 and 0001.
- garbagetime 4y agoI believe the point is to try to get people to engage in long-term thinking.
