- specialist 4y agoInteresting. I'd've guessed that contracts are negotiated per owner. But I don't actually know. I will ask my buddy (former CFO). My old neighbor was a union organizer. eg had bumper sticker that said "QFC: Rewarding hard work with low wages." He explained to me that new owners Kroger were roughing up the smaller QFC union before going after Fred Meyer's. Aside: So sad. I grew up with QFC. Beloved. Kroger sucked it dry. I understand why QFC had to sell out. Those who didn't got ploughed under. But it's still unfortunate.
