Resist the urge to text as a primary method of communication
- eimrine 4y agoHow to downvote this? I do not agree with any single statement.
- throwawaysleep 4y agoI like texting as I can do it during other activities where I am physically required to be present and nominally pretend to pay attention, but actually am not, like in meetings. I can also stop and start as I please. A phone call requires my synchronous attention.
- winternett 4y agoThat use is for secondary communication, which is not the issue cited in the post... The problem when texting is used as a primary or only form of communication. There are many things that simply aren't productive or healthy to discuss via text when other/better options exist (e.g. getting to know someone you date).
