There was a variation of this theme that I thought was better written. Its about a guy who finds himself in a similar situation due to multiple rounds of mergers and layoffs and he is kept employed for some compliance reason which gets forgotten by the company. They at some point ship him a cellphone, so he travels and other stuff. This goes on for years. Can't find this anymore, anyone know what I'm referring to?
