I think what we're discovering is that there is a fundamental difference between some people. One set of terminology might be 'introverts vs extroverts'. We are operating in a legacy mode of operation where those people were mixed up because it didn't matter - there was only one way of working so the fact that it was worse to some people than others was irrelevant. I think the 'mixed' mode we're in now is probably a transition phase. Companies will move towards being more one or the other and employees will gravitate to companies whose ethos matches their own.
