I find that thing misleading:

To read PDFs, Firefox downloads them locally, so that is not what differentiates it from other PDF-reading software.
Sure, maybe Firefox's viewers is more secure than Adobe's, but in the end both parse PDFs locally.
- stjohnswarts 4y agoIf it makes you feel safer you can turn off javascript in pdfs with this in about:config pdfjs.enableScripting to false

- stjohnswarts 4y agoThey use the same javascript engine as my browser so I'm not that worried :) . Chances are low compared to just surfing in general in my estimation. Everything is sandboxed quite well in modern browsers.
