Sorry but from a Java perspective I fail to see Docker as an improvement over deploy war.

  Well for one thing Docker tends to keep running for a long time while the several JEE App servers I used all needed rebooting after a few deploys just to keep them running. I mean ... don't even get me started, Java app servers were a nightmare and I was so very happy when we were able to ditch ours and go back to a sane architecture.

    Hmm, WebSphere was solid as a rock when I used it in production.

      History hasn’t really been kind to JavaEE though.
