I don't use ad blocking software because (1) I'm in marketing and (2) it's nice to know which companies are making moves. I do opt out of Google's targeted advertising, and I definitely use Facebook Disconnect. All of my searches also originate from DDG, even if I throw a !g on the query every now and then.
