The irony here being that you claim to be a victim to claim the high ground in the debate. It's like trying to explain water to a fish.

The irony here being that you claim to be a victim to claim the high ground in the debate.
It's like trying to explain water to a fish.
- s1artibartfast 4y agoI don't claim moral moral highground based on my personal history. I claim to be right based on the merits of my argument alone.
- thrown_22 4y agoWhich you claim based on personal history.
- s1artibartfast 4y agoThere is nothing ironic about expressing experience and knowledge which informs the position in debate. My history informs my claim, but I'm not saying that my experience defacto overrides or invalidates any other claim, experiential or otherwise. Perhaps it would be ironic if I refuse to hear contrary ideas due to my special class as a victim. I did not do this and think it is toxic to debate. Moreover, I specifically don't identify as a victim.
- thrown_22 4y agoThe important thing is that you've figured out a way to be superior to both.
- s1artibartfast 4y agoBoth what? Do you not believe that some people are more knowledgeable or can have insights on any topic. Do you have a point you are trying to make?
