I think so as well. Bought a XR18 for my band, bought another one couple weeks later for home. Still using both regularly, despite other outboard gear, analog and ADC/DACs available -- just so damn handy! Only thorn in the side is the price spike - when I bought mine, they were 349€ a piece, now they cost close to 700... back when I got mine, I'd suggest them even to mostly-one-source users, but at that price point you really gotta think twice as a mostly-one-source user. In hindsight, should've gotten an X32...
In case you're worried about sound quality - don't be; a) most consumers won't notice anyways, b) check out dave rat on youtube, he was dissecting Midas vs. Behringer X32 and you'll likely be surprised by the results.
Also love that the XAir Edit application is available under a lot of platforms, including x86 and ARM32 linux. The only thorn on the software side is the lack of an iPhone application (but there are iPad and Android ones). If you know about a OSC iPhone management SW for the iPhone, I'm all ears :)
