- iamtedd 4y agoThere is at least one Australian sparkling that has a beer-bottle-top style seal.
- voxadam 4y agoInteresting, I assume you're talking about porcelain flip-tops.[0] I can't say I've ever seen sparkling wine bottled that way. Though, I don't live in Australia or, for that matter, drink much sparkling. [0] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flip-top https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flip-top
- Am4TIfIsER0ppos 4y agoI was picturing a crown cap https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_cork https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crown_cork but now I wonder if that would hold the pressure in champagne.
- guidedlight 4y agoYep. Those do hold champagne under pressure no problem.
- iamtedd 4y agoYes, crown cap is what I was referring to.
- Ekaros 4y agoI think smallest bottles are plastic.
- philjohn 4y agoTruly, if you're drinking champagne, a small bottle isn't enough.
- schwartzworld 4y agoExcept for the ones with screw tops or crown caps.
