Why would no bigco use a project licensed under ELv2? It seems permissive for most use cases, as far as I understand it.
- metadat 4y agoLegal doesn't want to deal with it, and many bigcos do operate their own clouds which paves the way for future conflict and lawsuits. The industry titans are enormous, so there's a lot of process and very difficult to get changes approved, especially for the likes of a single snowflake such as ES.
