Yes it was an absolutely pointless monumental disaster with incredible suffering. No shit.

- badpun 4y agoBoth perspectives could be valid at the same time. I bet even Nazis soldiers "keeping the peace" in countries they occupied were often bored.
- implements 4y agoHe’s not obliged to qualify and fully contextualise literally the entire experience of his active military service in every post. One of the things I love about https://old.reddit.com/r/army https://old.reddit.com/r/army is you quickly see that soldiers ‘get it’ - good, bad and ugly - they don’t need civilians sniping at them about moral responsibility.
