I use only terminal programs for my development job. There has to be a real good reason for me to use a gui while working. One such good reason is a web browser. there is simply no way to work in the modern world without one. (for a large percentage of people anyway) git, vim and plugins/addons for it, *nix tools in general, man pages etc. don't need more than that and a browser.
