Problem is: If it says encryption, people think it's safe. Only if you're into tech, you know to look for the details. Personally, I'm always looking for 'end-to-end' and 'open source', like Tutanota does it, for instance, of Proton.
- ccouzens 4y agoMy understanding of this issue is that it could also affect badly done end to end encryption. Open source is also a good start but it is certainly no guarantee as not all code is audited even when open.
