Apple contractor fired after her day-in-the-life TikTok video went viral
- heyheyhey 4y agoMisleading headline. Her contract wasn't renewed and it wasn't specified if it was due to the TikTok video. > In May, Boone unexpectedly lost her job at Apple when her contract wasn’t renewed.
- _manifold 4y agoAlso if it was, it was most likely due to her breaking NDA. She's welcome to complain about it social media but overall this just doesn't seem newsworthy.
- masijo 4y agoHonestly, when I look at these types of videos I always wonder: what exactly do these people do? It seems as if their day-to-day life was to eat at fancy places, have a couple calls and enjoy a general upper class lifestyle without doing much that looks like "work". Of course, most can't really show what they're actually working on but, then, what's the point of these videos in the first place?
- clintonb 4y agoEven that little bit of a peek behind the curtain helps some people who have no idea what it's like to work in tech, especially if you aren't a software engineer.
- tennisflyi 4y agoNot really. It just shows how soft/cushy tech jobs are to most people.
- tennisflyi 4y ago> It seems as if their day-to-day life was to eat at fancy places, have a couple calls and enjoy a general upper class lifestyle without doing much that looks like "work". Yes.
- patch_cable 4y agoI assume Apple has some pretty strict rules about positing pictures from inside the office on social media.
- mr90210 4y agoI think so. I’ve searched on YouTube, and I cloud find any video from Apple Employees talking about life at Apple. Maybe I just didn’t search hard enough.
- P_I_Staker 4y agoWhat's a "cloud find"?
- nguyenkien 4y agoProbably couldn't.
