I don't follow UK politics very closely but the actions of him and Truss seem so tone deaf and incompetent (BoE trying to fight inflation and raise rates, so you announce a huge debt-funded tax cut?). I'm always confused by this because they have smart people around them right? Are people at this level surrounded only by sycophants and so never get to hear these criticisms until after its announced to public? How do people at such a high level fuck up like this?
