My company has a hiring freeze in place right now but are still brining on new contractors for high-priority initiatives as needed. No engineers have been let go yet And recruiters keep spamming me on LinkedIn about "great" contract to hire roles they have People still need engineers, they just don't want to commit to increasing headcount, because it will upset the beancounters. That's my take anyway
