There's a huge difference between 2 seconds (even 1 second) and practically instantaneous. It changes everything. Also worth mentioning: I for one am using a pretty slow computer, and VS Code is unusable. Like most editors and IDEs. But stuff like sublime, vim, NP++, etc. are a pleasure to use.
