What I am most afraid of is that people won't cut their usage and we'll run out halfway through the winter. There should be a maximum that you can use and the rest is charged at a higher rate to deal with the situation.
Meanwhile, rationing usage of an essential good feels so third world.
- fredley 4y agoIn the UK, rationing is strongly associated with WWII, when there was broad rationing of everything nationwide. Given the root cause of gas shortages is a European war that Brits are generally emotionally involved in, it shouldn't be a hard sell.
