Interesting tidbit:
Alex Jones was fined more money (for this Sandy Hook case) than Purdue Pharma's role in the opioid crisis.
- thwayunion 4y agoToday I learned that $1 billion is more than $6 billion...? /s
- tb_technical 4y agoPerdue was fined 634.5 million USD, actually.
- thwayunion 4y agoA quick Google search confirms the ~$6B number, and as a lower bound. When the facts are this easy to find and you repeat wildly false information, you're not simply mistaken, you are intentionally lying. Why do you feel the need to lie about this? Why are you so desperate to deny an obvious truth? Good men don't lie. "Attorney General John M. Formella today announced a national settlement with Purdue Pharma and its owners, the Sackler family, for their role in the opioid crisis, that will increase the amount of funds paid by the Sacklers from $4.325 billion under the original bankruptcy plan to at least $5.5 billion." https://www.doj.nh.gov/news/2022/20220303-settlement-purdue-pharma-sacklers.htm https://www.doj.nh.gov/news/2022/20220303-settlement-purdue-...
- tb_technical 4y agoActually, I didn't know about the recent case in 2020. I thought this all happened like ten years ago. Thanks for letting me know. Don't appreciate being called a liar, but that's the internet for ya.
