- throwayyy479087 4y agoWhy not? They’re private companies. Just like Facebook and Twitter and PayPal and CloudFlare.
- tamaharbor 4y agoCustomers can withdraw all their funds and close their accounts on a whim also.
- stjohnswarts 4y agoI think it's a great idea for them to be able to choose to remove accounts of people who are racist/anti-semitic.
- encryptluks2 4y agoTo Israel even Bernie is an antisemite. Israel has destroyed the label having any meaning except for people that aren't loyal to whatever decisions they make.
- nailer 4y agoSure but Kanye’s not criticising Israel’s foreign policy. This is fairly clearly a racist rant.

- nailer 4y agoI actually am a fan of Kanye, but I cannot see how disliking producers based on their rave or “I’m going death con (sic) for insert race here” could be seen as as anything other than racist.
- encryptluks2 4y agoAgain... Jews are not a race unless specifically directed towards those people originating from a specific region. Jews refers to people practicing Judaism. If you're suggesting Judaism prevents people from other races, then in fact that would be racist.

My understanding is that you realise Jews are an ethno-religious group, but you believe criticism of Jews is generally based around religious ideas rather than race. My belief is that unless religious law is specifically mentioned the simplest case - racism - is the most likely reason. Occam's razor and all.
- encryptluks2 4y agoSo you're telling me that the belief some people have that Jews control money has to do where there from and not the religious teachings? Does that mean that if I talk bad about Christianity that I am racist as well?
- nailer 4y ago1. Yes. 2. No Christianity isn’t a race. You could also speak about the negative parts of Jewish religion, ie genital mutilation or orthodox people asking others to use electricity for them, which would be reasonable criticisms.

- crmd 4y agoWhat about people who publicly oppose return to office in nyc or support Occupy Wall Street 2.0? Are you proposing a special exception for racists, or that they should be able to fire any customer whose speech is offensive to the Bank?
- qualudeheart 4y agoI’m in favor of a state owned bank of last resort. Private banks can do whatever they want, but some secure way to store funds is a human right.
