Well tailored, high quality dress pants can be tremendously comfortable. More so than most jeans.
Really the lesson here is people don't spend money on things they use twice a year. Also an important software engineering lesson!
(Though I'll bite on the ties...terribly uncomfortable)
- dctoedt 4y agoNeckties are uncomfortable only if the shirt collar doesn't fit properly when buttoned. (That's one advantage of having dress shirts custom-made: You can have the collar made to an exact fit — and also have the sleeves made to the exact length needed to peek from the sleeves of your suit jacket without your having to "shoot your cuffs" à la Daniel Craig's James Bond.)
