- emptyparadise 4y agoNow I'm curious what sort of argument could be made about not using the Framework laptop.
- vulcan01 4y agoEasy to upgrade, so developers keep testing on the latest hardware and forget about older devices? Not sure how well this fits with the title.
- ar_lan 4y agoI thought the same exact thing, and had entered the article with a significant bias against the author based on the headline.
- mhink 4y agoThe entire article uses some very odd grammatical conventions. The author is from the Netherlands, which I think might account for some of the oddness, but I can't tell if the capitalization is because of that or just because of the desire to be quirky.
- Qwertious 4y agoI didn't enter with a bias, I was just thinking "LOL, how are they going to justify this, this is gonna be good." And then they had to be something completely different and yet completely justified. Darn.
- idealmedtech 4y agoOne reading which might be valid is that testing on hardware that lives in the happy path will lead you to think your code has less issues than it actually has on real user systems.
- nrp 4y agoMy heart skipped a beat when opening HN today.
- endorphine 4y agoSame here and I started searching for a comment stating the same before I write my own.
