It’s Time to Consider RISC-V
- simonblack 4y agoDefinitely time to consider RISC-V or its successor to base the next platform on. There will be huge economies of scale. and there won't be the pressure to move away from a centralised platform that all companies can share without the fear of lawfare from competitors. I suppose you could consider it to be the 'Linux' of the hardware scene. Many companies make lots of money from a so-called 'free' software system. The same can be said of a so-called 'free' hardware system.
