Facebook wasn't special; the approach Zuckerberg took to create a network effect was. That's it. Microsoft wasn't special. The tactics Gates used to destroy his competition and adopt their technology was. That's it. What I'm excited about is the day people who have the ability realize that gives them the power and all they need to do is unite to create an actual digital future for humanity.
