It was for 5 hours.
> Renewables made up 46% of Greece’s power mix in the eight months to August this year, according to Greek climate think-tank The Green Tank, which was up from 42% in the same period in 2021.
In my opinion this is the greatest news. In a period of high demand they can still do 46% on renewables.

With such an update they can be almost self suficient.
- iso1631 4y agoAs a net, however without storage they will be relying on exporting energy when renewables are generating and importing it when they aren't There's plenty of demand across Europe for energy, so that's still a great thing, but they need those decent interconnects (and/or storage, or industry that can work with varying supply -- e.g generate green hydrogen when renewables are at excess, don't generate when there's lower demand)
