That's the really funny thing about Meta's angle. VR is pretty exciting for games, there's a lot of potential there. A metaverse of games is actually an incredibly cool concept, with lots of possible ways to conceptualize that. But they're not at all interested in that! They're betting big on some dubious niche productivity / social uses for VR. Even if you enjoy VR meetings, how is Meta going to make billions from that?
