I don't believe this is true about Stack Overflow. This is why it works, that's its entire model. The insufferable pedants don't stop correct answers. Except if you are asking questions that have no answers. Which is most of Stack Exchange but not Stack Overflow unless the question is badly worded. Do you have an example on Stack Overflow where this has happened?
