Yes, now some of the worst abuses of the past 10 years are becoming enshrined in law, creating a new-normal they can push the boundaries on. I'd like to think the constitution would keep things in check, but I see no sign the Supreme Court will go very far in checking these abuses of the bill of rights. So discouraging.
