- tchaffee 4y agoThanks. That still doesn't prove interviewers have no bias. Biased interviewers could play a significant role in why women quit the platform at a higher rate. And it definitely does not prove that the voice masking worked to hide gender.
- mring33621 4y agoThere ABSOLUTELY are biased interviewers. I have personally heard interviewers say: - a candidate is "too sexy" - they want "hot, young Java talent" - you were hired because "you looked good in a suit"
- Manuel_D 4y agoAnd I've heard interviewers say that they've decided a priori to hire a woman because they need to hit their diversity target otherwise they won't get their end of year bonus. I don't doubt lived experiences that some interviews are biased against women, the question is whether there's bias in aggregate.
