MetaDock: Split Screen Browser
- pturing 4y agoThis company is an inspiration. Pulling in $10 per user per month for an application specific tiling window manager. Kinda makes you want to start a SaaS company.
- dexwiz 4y agoCharging for a browser in 2022? Bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off for them. Who is this targeting? Any power user who really wants a tiled browsing experience can already do it with multiple windows and any number of free window managers out there. Saved sessions have also been around for a while. No way Meta is any better than Google when it comes to collecting your data. EDIT: I see it's not made my Meta. Unfortunate naming then.
- metadat 4y agoNot only are they charging for it, it's a $9.99/month SaSS "product" ( ! ) for a web browser ( ??? ) Whack.
- xwowsersx 4y agoMeta? Is that you?

- amadeuspagel 4y ago> Any power user who really wants a tiled browsing experience can already do it with multiple windows and any number of free window managers out there. Same is true for tabs.
- dexwiz 4y agoNever had a tabbed browser need a monthly subscription though.
- nashashmi 4y agoSidekick browser does the same
- nickdothutton 4y agoNot all useful features are valuable, not all things of value make valuable businesses. That said, good luck to them. Anything that pushes the browser oligopoly to improve is commendable.
- floatinglotus 4y agoSeems rather expensive for a browser add on. As an arbitrary comparison, one could get Microsoft Office for the same price.
- gsora 4y agoDamn, i3wm is a browser now!
- umen 4y agono, you are all wrong , there no such app for windows OS i can see the need for it for windows only
- FractalHQ 4y agoVivaldi has this + dozens of unique features for free and has been around for ages.
