  Seems like a bad time to attach your name to crypto. I don't know what Google are getting out of this. And who's the target audience for using crypto to pay for cloud services?

    > I don't know what Google are getting out of this. According to the story, this was the cost of Coinbase migrating its data platform and services ("Coinbase Cloud") to Google Cloud. Note that "Google will enable a subset of customers" to do this. That it won't be a generally-available payment option points to this being largely a marketing/PR stunt.

    I mean its going to require KYC anyway, so might as well just use anything more efficient, because your are not getting any uaual privacy benefits from crypto.
