I wonder if there's an AI opportunity here. One that can take academic whitepapers and spit out graphical summaries.
- hedora 4y agoIt would have to be significantly better at reading papers than most journalists. I can imagine an opportunity for a small group of PhDs that vet stories from a large group of science journalists, and that work with graphics designers to produce non-misleading and scientifically accurate graphics like the abstract. I'd guess a team of 10 PhDs could keep up with the global flow of literature that makes the news. No idea how hard it is to draw those graphics though.
