Notion, and most of its competitors, use huge margins. im on a laptop screen and i dont care for wide margins, its taking up too much of my screen space. i want a clean document, write from the left of my screen, to the right. simples.
is there any alternative saas out there that actually lets you uses the width of your screen, or do I have to go back to using ms word and set my own margins? (imagine that, the original and still only one with proper margins)
headers and covers, at top of documents. don't need those either. why is that forced?
it seem ridiculous to me that everything has to be so large in web interfaces. buttons, menus, margins, padding...

please help.

- r226 4y agothanks, will have a look!
- 0xgorro 4y agoCould you please be a little more specific about what it is you're trying to do.? It would help in suggesting alternatives for you. I mean, if you don't like MS Word, but want something like that, try Google Docs?
- r226 4y agoThank you for your reply. I thought I was pretty clear but, basically what I want a web based document/notes app that doesn't eat up so much space with margins, forced headers and other white space. Check the screenshot link in my original post.
- thisjustintime 4y agoAre you familiar with the Notion Boost browser extension? The feature you want would require dropping $38 for the lifetime 'Pro' version, but it's there if you want it.
- r226 4y agosounds very interesting, never heard of it, thank you!
- ABNW 4y agoSet your own custom CSS stylesheet for the website? Perhaps with something like this? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/css-override/ https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/css-override/
- r226 4y agogood solution, thanks!
- rafaelBG 4y agoMaybe Google Docs is better? You can give it a try.
