There's a bug in the compensation calculator.
For the same experience level (Senior 1, Expert 1.11 - 1.2),
- in London (should be 0.67), £128,651 - £139,082 plus equity
- in Jamaica (0.6), $157,176 - $169,920 plus equity (this is $142376.47 to 153920.50, which is higher than London)
Why is London cheaper than Jamaica?
- john-radio 4y agoIt would be really funny if the compensation "calculator" pretended to be doing arithmetic behind the scenes by having the decimal factor labels on all the location, seniority, and other modifiers, when really it just looked up the salary grade range from a hashmap and served it to the user. "The numerical modifiers are guidelines, more than actual rules..."
