Even though gcc sometimes names binaries a.out, the default is to generate an ELF despite this. I wouldn't expect this to be a significant issue with random executables floating around out there.
- ZiiS 4y agopft, lots of PDP-7 binaries here. More seriously this was depricated in 1995, you had some warning.
