It's pretty interesting that one of the persistent early themes was a lack of power, resigning it to what we'd probably consider today a home defense or close-quarters defense role at best. Though, with some tiger poison added...imagine handling that stuff, before, during, and after battle during cleanup. Surely it'd be tempting to settle for caltrops in the entry ways....
