Good to see a discussion on compiler error messages. I would like to see the message boilerplate removed from most of those compilers. #1 We're almost all using some IDE and don't need copies of multiple text lines and irrelevant context. #2 It's a waste of attention to have to extract the message form lines & lines of text ... I know something went wrong, just tell me (clearly & simply) what and where.
