Lets talk about Gavin Newsom's opponent then. Here's a fairly positive summary.

> His plan to beat Newsom is to focus on what he thinks are the real problems people care about — record high gas prices, rising crime and the state’s high cost-of-living
Gas prices is completely outside his control, mere focus on increasing penalties has little effect on crime which is committed by people with poor impulse control and worse analytical skills who don't think they will be punished, and high rent prices can only meaningfully by impacted by either making fewer people want to live in California or building substantially more housing people can actually afford. In urban areas this usually means building UP in areas where people feel like such change would ruin the "character" of the area something that nobody in power meaningfully does because it would take a short time to ruin your popularity and a long time to provide meaningful results.
As far as I can see they in the unlikely event he won we would be electing a farmer people feel like they could have a beer with to make the right sort of sounds while making no meaningful difference in any of his issues.
It's strange that its cited as a positive that he doesn't buy into Trump's election lie. It's like saying our man Brian not only does he go to church every Sunday he doesn't even eat babies! I mean kudos I suppose but he still voted for Trump who despite standing behind the Republican banner stood for corruption, excess, constant lies, immorality and lest we forget an armed attempt to replace our democracy with fascism and despite all the warning signs he still got our man Brian's vote because no matter how ethically Brian lives his own life he's not wise enough to be a good man because given a choice he demonstrably picks party over every other concern. Let him be a good farmer or even a good rep for his folks. He would be a bad person as a governor.
In all probability twitter isn't even putting its finger on the scale here you just phrased your ad in a way that twitter took at fraudulent instead of satire.
When we look at whether we think it's OK for Twitter to put its finger on the scale we are looking at a fundamental problem with morality. Shall we attempt to decide on universal rules or shall we consider each case and weigh the possible outcomes.
The former case is by far the most desirable but inevitably leads to absurdity. We are I think in a pivotal moment in our history where we the most powerful militarily and economically choose between continuing on as a democracy and turning into a fascist empire. Even Republicans who don't support such are uniquely poorly positioned to resist a move in that direction because even a fraction of their base defecting is liable to deprive them of the opportunity to prosper within their party and the same is true of the broader party's success in America as a whole.
At this critical moment you are choosing at best to promote the corruptible and regardless of what you think about Brian as a person I think you ought to re-evaluate your position.
