> It's an incredibly selfish decision
People should have a right to be as selfish as they want with their own bodies. You don't owe anyone else a responsibility to live.
- mynameisvlad 4y agoSeriously, stop being obtuse. Suicide is a serious decision with serious consequences. It should be treated as such, not as some flimsy debate topic about bodily autonomy. Have some empathy and tact when discussing such serious topics.
- chrisseaton 4y ago> Seriously, stop being obtuse I get that you don't agree with me. But having a different opinion doesn't make me obtuse. That's just slinging around an insult.
- mynameisvlad 4y agoYou are plainly ignoring the seriousness of the decision and treating it like any other bodily autonomy discussion. Multiple people have told you about how people with suicidal ideation operate and how serious this topic is. Multiple times. You choosing to ignore it all is, plain and simple, obtuse. Period. If you don't want to be called obtuse, don't be obtuse.
- chrisseaton 4y agoYou don't think it's a clear-cut right - I get that. You think it's a right, subject to someone else's opinion. I do think it's clear-cut right.
- mynameisvlad 4y agoOkay, so you're just going to continue doing the same thing without skipping a beat. Hence, you know, the word obtuse. Good day, then. Talking to you is clearly useless.
