I think organoids are equally fascinating and terrifying. Being able to ‘produce’ a brain sounds most sci-fi and I can see how that might help scientists make progress in a myriad of ways. Then on the other hand I think it’s proper horror to think that perhaps one day advances in the field might actually render consciousnesses on one of these lab brains.
