I just wanted to say, as someone who is now about in the middle of the average lifespan distribution, I find no compelling evidence that leads me to believe that the half of the age range that is older than I am is any wiser than the half of the age range that is younger than I am. I don't know whether or not there should be bans on elderly politicians, but it would be very, very nice to have a stronger cultural pressure against old people trying to hang on to power so long past their expiration dates.
