Mapped: The 3B People Who Can't Afford a Healthy Diet
- dimitar 4y agoHow does this account for subsistence farming? It doesn't seem it does. The linked report focuses on trade policy and markets and yet a huge chunk of the worlds population doesn't rely on them. What happens is that there are a lot of people in developing countries thay have close to zero dollar income yet grow/raise most of their food, build their dwellings (cheaper in warmer climates) and spend most of their money on fuel and basic luxuries (depending on the culture but may be: tobacco, tea, coffee, sugar, alcohol).
