As a matter of fact, that's part of the reason I want to learn C. I started learning Rust, and see a lot of potential, but ultimately find I lack the context to: 1. Appreciate the language. 2. Really understand what's happening in memory. I hope that learning C will provide both of these things, while also gaining the benefit of learning one of the only widely used languages that I can fit in my head all at once.
