- filoleg 4y agoIf you turn off wifi from settings instead of the control center (top right corner pull), it will stay turned off. If you turn it off from the control center, it will indeed say "Turning off WiFi until tomorrow".
- bonestamp2 4y agoYes, but it's much easier to turn it on/off from control center, so I just have to leave it in airplane mode.
- filoleg 4y agoTrue. As an alternative, I personally just created a one-action shortcut for turning off wifi and assigned it to the double backtap action[0]. So i dont even need to look at the screen anymore or go into any menus. I just do a double backtap, and wifi stays turned off until i need it (same as doing it from the settings). If you want, you can also just add that shortcut to lockscreen as well and do it via a single tap from there (which is also less clicks than even control center). 0. https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/run-shortcuts-tapping-iphone-apd897693606/ios https://support.apple.com/guide/shortcuts/run-shortcuts-tapp...
- bonestamp2 4y agoNice shortcut, thanks! I do love shortcuts. :)
- tsimionescu 4y agoCan you at least get from Control Center to the corresponding Settings page easily now (long press, hard press, etc), or is Apple dying on that hill?
- kaba0 4y agoCan only check on iphone, but long press on wifi, then again on wifi on the subsequent menu (where you can select which network to connect to) has “wifi settings” at the bottom.
- filoleg 4y ago> Can you at least get from Control Center to the corresponding Settings page easily now (long press, hard press, etc) You can, just long press the wifi icon in control center, it will expand to show all wifi points nearby. Then click on "settings" button, and it will take you to the actual wifi settings page in the settings app. This isn't a recent change btw. Idk when they added it, but I remember using it since at least iOS 13 or 14, which was 2-3 years ago.
- lumenwrites 4y agoWow, this is amazing, thank you for sharing this! This was annoying me for years.
- pb7 4y agoIt only turns back on 24 hours later if you turn it off from Control Center. If you go to Settings > Wi-Fi, it will turn off permanently.
- willsmith72 4y agoThat and the same with Bluetooth is something that really grinds my gears with apple
- gigglesupstairs 4y agoMy only gripe is wifi calling doesn’t work in airplane mode in iPhones otherwise I would perpetually keep them in airplane mode at home.
