While I get that some people are overly entitled, I think there's often too much of "X thing was there when I moved here, therefore X thing is an immutable fact of the universe and must never, ever change" attitude. You see it in San Francisco a lot, with people who moved in only a few years ago complaining about how the city is ruined now because something changed, regardless of what it was, or how it changed. I assume Austin is similar.
