Request HN: A tab with only ad free pages?
DanG what about an experiment where just like "Ask" and "Show" you have a tab called something like "Libre" or something, with the condition that all submissions to that page had to be public domain and ad free?
I just realized that 3/5 top stories right now are great, 2/5 are garbage. The difference is the 2/5 have ads and copyright.
- version_five 4y agoHN has an API and there are already various remix sites. I also suspect they a blacklist would take care of many of the ad-laden stuff that is posted. Or an automatic change to the archive link instead of e.g. forbes or Bloomberg which always require a bypass. What I'm saying I guess is it should be easy for interested readers to achieve this themselves (and hopefully share when they do)

This isn’t exactly what you were asking for, but it’s close! A further enhancement might be to automatically redirect as you described based on a similar blacklist
